Nara, Miracles, and Relief Society activities...
So what a week!
Highlights
- We had some amazing lessons with a lot of friends. Ueda Shimai is doing great and has been progressing! She is really interested in family history work, so we are going to work together to make it happen.
- We had awesome exchanges with the Nara Elders which was amazing. Elder Marks and Elder Toriumi saw lots of miracles.
- We attended a Relief Society activity haha. Three of our friends came. Ueda Shimai, Tsukui San, and Ann San. They had a great time and a sister invite Ann San to church! As part of the activity we wrote on a piece of paper what other people's talents were. The sisters did one for us Elders too.
- We had a mini Missionary Leadership Council which was uplifting as always and we talked about and decided what to do to help the mission keep applying what we are learning and feeling from our experience with Wada Choro.
- Church was great as always! Our friend Ou San brought his friend Hyo San. They're Chinese, so our recent convert Sister Nogami who is Chinese helped out! It was a great experience and he is interested and curious about our church! We then visited an in-active sister with a brother in our ward. We then walked with this guy called Sakai San into the church and in the end he just wanted Eikaiwa (English class), but haha we needed to go, but he wants to come to our Tuesday one which is great
.
. - Another tender mercy was experienced this past week! In our mini MLC I heard that Rena San was recieving baptism! She is a woman I worked with in Fushimi for 7 months. She stopped taking lessons and her Baptismal date was long pushed back, but she is getting baptized March 12th! I was so happy to learn that. God really does use our efforts! It's so cool to see that even though my efforts didn't do anything, in the end, God did use them and I'm so grateful for that!
- Went to Nara as a district and had fun with the domesticated deer and a massive Budha statue! I also saw a Honda NSX which was cool :). I then gave Elder Toriumi my meishi's for the departing missionaries :(. (Meishi's are little cards you write notes on for other missionaries when they go home.)
I know God is in the details and is aware of everything we need in life :). Express gratitude to Him this day and I can promise you will be able to recognize God's hand in your life!
Love you all! Remember to express gratitude, I too will be working on gratitude this week :).
