Week 88

Uwajima!

I got transferred! I think the pictures will explain pretty well :).

But I am on the island of Shikoku in Japan. It took about 9 hours from Osaka through trains to arrive in Uwajima.

It's beautiful. Imagine the Shenandoah Valley (where I'm from) and then put an ocean right beside it. And it's spring time and it smells amazing.

But even though leaving Abeno Ward was hard, I'm so grateful to be here in the Uwajima Branch. A lot of amazing missionaries have worked here. Elder Matsumoto, Elder Hiltschler, and Elder Walker and others. Elder Noda is my companion now! He is from Fukuoka and has two siblings.  In his non-mission life he likes to run, sleep and eat fried shrimp. Elder Noda did some college before his misison and has been out 3 months!

I'm so excited for the weeks ahead. Sorry for the shorter email today!

I know God lives and that His words are true. If we follow our prophet, President Nelson, we will be guided by God and Christ.

Love you all!
