Week 95

Trust in Him, Happy Father's Day!

I have been thinking, pondering, and studying faith and trust in God. Something my dad said to me that I had forgotten: Jesus Christ trusts us. Even when we forget him or don't trust him. He still paid for our sins, He can give us relief as we put on His yoke and follow Him.

If you are doubting or not sure if you can trust in Christ remember He trusts you. He trusts you enough to die for you and to trust that you would use His gift of His Atonement.

So I would invite everyone to look at their life and find what is preventing you from following Christ.
Search His words. Believe. And I can testify that you will feel the goodness and truthfulness of Christ's Gospel!

This week was honestly crazy looking back at it. From pigeons on my bike to a hawk stealing Elder Noda's chicken. We talked to a lot of people. A lot of not interested people and a lot of nice people!

Tender mercies
- We housed an apartment building (went tracking there). Had some angry responses, some uninterested ones, but the very last door, on the last floor, was a young man! He sadly didn't want to meet and take lessons, but he accepted a Book of Mormon which we read together. We will visit again!
- Another place we knocked on had a great mom and two kids that said we could come back another time and share a message about eternal families. So this Sunday, we did! We came back and shared a five minute message and she seemed to like it! She said she wants to hear more! They are busy, but said that Sunday is the best time for their family. So we will be hopefully teaching their family this Sunday! They are called Makimura. If you could keep them in your prayers that would be appreciated.
- Went visiting with a member to some other members and taught about eternal families to a part member family and then invited a less-active member back to church and he came the next day! We taught him the importance of renewing those covenants.
- Had a great conversation about faith with my dad on Father's day. It was nice to talk to him and have that Spirit-led conversation. I'm so grateful for my dad, Lee Robertson, and all that he does!

This week is looking busy. We have Zone conference tomorrow at Marugame, a five hour train ride away haha. This will be the last time I see President Halvorson as my mission leader. I think he and Sister Halvorson will leave next week I believe ;(. I'm excited though for the Sano's to come--the new mission leader and his wife for the Kobe Japan Mission--even though I will only have them for 3 weeks!

I know Christ lives and that He is helping us at every moment. Take time to remember and you will see ways that He has helped you! I testify that is true. I testify that God will fulfill His blessings, on His time.

Love you all!

Elder Robertson

Pictures
- We went around Kyushima (Literally means Island 9) on bikes!
- Saw a Type R Honda Civic, a hakosuka Nissan Skyline, and a Honda Prelude
