Week 94

God Loves Us

I'm going to be completely honest. I have learned so much this past week I can't write it all down. I'll try though!

1. Sometimes we put expectations on God and how He will work in our life. That isn't true. He has expectations and miracles for us and we have to exercise faith in Him.

2. Faith is faith! Believing is okay and as we trust in what God has given us, not in what we expect, we can look back on our day and look for how God has fulfilled His promises.

I'm not going to keep typing a list haha, just those ideas of faith and trust in God have connected in a new way for me. And I'm excited to look for and expect miracles from God. Not my expectations, but expect His love and His hand.

Alma 34:31, 27
31 Yea, I would that ye would come forth and harden not your hearts any longer; for behold, now is the time and the day of your salvation; and therefore, if ye will repent and harden not your hearts, immediately shall the great plan of redemption be brought about unto you.

37 And now, my beloved brethren, I desire that ye should remember these things, and that ye should work out your salvation with fear before God, and that ye should no more deny the coming of Christ;

Love these scriptures.

Some updates about the work. We received a referral from a member of this family from Thailand. The husband and a child died in a house fire a couple years ago, so we hope to share about eternal families and how we can do that through Jesus Christ!

We also found another family through housing. They said stop by another time, but they seemed pretty interested in our message about eternal families.

The work is going forth! Please pray for these two families that they will know that this message is true and that they can have eternal families as they follow Christ's commandments!

I'm so grateful for God and how He has humbled me recently. I really have learned more of my weaknesses, but as I have brought them to God in prayer, I know He will change them to strengths, in His own timing and way. So I challenge you to bring a weakness to God and humble ask Him to help you change it. Trust that He will give you what you need to change!

(And I forgot to mention, but I didn't get transferred! Another amazing 6 weeks in Uwajima! So excited!)
